I LOVE THIS PLACE!! I bought the family membership the director is wonderful as well you can tell she loves what she does!! We get our family pictures done here its a wonderful place to be photographed:)
Only $5 to get in and tons to see and do. Great for a day with the kids and they seem to have events often.
It seems many smaller Florida towns have done a better job than big cities in preserving Florida's legacies. Cracker Country at the State Fairgrounds in Tampa has nice buildings but they are open only for the fair and selected events. This Pioneer Village here in Dade City has an amazing collection of historic buildings all well maintained and the best carriage collection in Florida. Visitors need to recognize these museums depend upon volunteers to stay open - it is not a commercial enterprise. Keep up the good work.
Fun to see the history but it's tough for little kids. Too many things that can break!
Really nice place to learn about pre motorized / air conditioned Florida. Well.preserved equipment and buildings from ages gone by. Friendly and personable volunteers.
